...on the road again

Fixed the ladder and the back that was damaged from the Jeep incident last year.  To cold to bondo and paint but will do eventually.  No hotwater heater, no water (Freezing conditions) and the lights on the Jeep still not working but successfully got up and ready.  Jake gave me a great idea to fill up propane at the Sunoco station up the street, "19.95 any size."  Thanks Jake because the nice man did not know how to hook up to the 100 gallon tank and after he spilled liquid propane all over, said, he cannot do it.  Fingers crossed and ready to bail out the window, I started the Flag and drove away watching a guy with a lit cigar walk over to access the propane situation.  Hopefully I won't read about how that story ended in the Patch.  A ton of honks going through Clinton as I believe people reading blog now know it is me in the Flag.  A little late to go but on track for the Miami Boat Show, Atlanta, Jupiter, Savanagh, Hilton Head and so on.  Headed out with the most horrible conditions headed into snow and sleet for most of the trip.  Landed the Flag in Harrisonberg, VA and had dinner with Spez and Abby at her favorite "steakhouse", outback (a deal for us).   We stayed at a KOA and had a nice hike before dinner.  Dogs were GREAT on first day.

Abby and Spez were so responsible studying for their tests and really grown up.  We should find out about abby's master program this week in Europe and Brazil.  She is nervous she will not get in and we are nervous she will.

Jen did drive for a while and to let you know how tired I was, I actually fell asleep.  Hit very little traffic on 95 in CT but after speaking to my mom, found out the Tapanzee bridge was closed for hours just after we crossed because of a horrible accident.  We really dodged a bullet on that one.  Dozens of cars spun out all over.

As Jen was driving, i noticed a shit ton of water on the floor only to find out one of the fittings in the shower was broken and the entire water tank emptied onto the floor.  So going 70 mph in snow, I cleaned up with towels and tried to assess the fix.  Thank God we took the carpet out and had "hard wood" floors put in.  When we got to the site, I took apart and FIXED.

Woke up to no water and turns out it was frozen.  I figured this out when I went to the bathroom at the KOA and read the sign that said, FREEZE ALERT--Unhook your hoses by 10 pm or they will freeze. I guess I should have gone to the bathroom last night.  Anyway, once again, solved problem.  I am getting good at this RV stuff.  My big project is putting in a new hot water heater in Florida.  I had one shipped to Jackie and Steve, fingers crossed.  If my Chris Craft customers had to do 1 tenth of what I am doing, they would hang themselves.

Had a few beers at dinner but my grade was an A!
