A day at sea...

I thought Diane was kidding when she said she wanted to see the actual can the sprite zero to the waiter because she believed they were just mixing soda water and seltzer but I was wrong.  “is that just seltzer and soda in a glass?”  please let me see the can it came from.  The waiter scrambled and 20 minutes later came up with a can (not sure if was empty or full or even out of Diane’s garbage can from her room).  This was the night before so when we got to breakfast, Jen preordered a can for her before she came.  Apparently, Diane does not drink sprite zero in the am so I had to drink it for her because if after all that we left a full can untouched after they probably hiked down 10 floors to get it, we would be really hated.  Anyway, had a really nice relaxed vacation and then off to do our chores;  Bill to do laundry, Dad to read his daily printout of the NY times and Jen and myself off to walk 50 laps including up and down the stairs on the deck.  We figured out why I hit my steps before Jen because we actually counted our steps around and she took 119 steps and I took 129 so it is legit that I get my 12k first.  I am sure you can see how boring it is walking in a circle the size of my swimming pool for 1.5 hours.  Well never boring walling with my wife!

I thought Teva sandals were out of business but I was wrong.  1000 people on this ship have them on.  Along with their zip off pants to shorts set up, they are keeping these iconic companies.  We are also literally listening to all 70’s Billy Joel songs.  Its like the f ing Catalina wine mixer.

Jen was a little nervous as we see the chairs all filling up and not being able to find a place to take our nap so I decided when it was time to get a chair, I would make an announcement that there was a skin cancer seminar at 11 and most likely get a seat.

Got to lunch and ordered my food but apparently there was a disturbance in the kitchen.  Not sure what it was but we ended up having a 2 hour lunch which was great to just sit around and chat.  Took a nice afternoon nap with Nancy and Jen but it was freezing.  Woke up and Nancy was gone.  There is a captain’s party tonight at 545 and you can get a free drink (I can get a free drink anytime I want so no biggie for me).  We decided to meet the crew and see what this was all about but the line to get this free drink was unbelievable (see pics).  I was the one screwed because everyone on the ship was getting a free drink and I had to wait for mine.   It was fine and we made it to dinner on time to allow for 2 hours before the magician show at 930.  All and all a great day and fun night with the crew.

Also, had a great face time with Abby and received a B+ for the night (I guess I swore at my aunt and was loud or I would have gotten an A+).
