Halloween II "After Dark"

Ok, so yesterday I do not believe I did a good enough job explaining our night.  Maybe because we did not get home until 3:30 AM and I was tired or we were in a rush in the morning but I decided to add an "after dark" addendum to the blog and I feel like it is warranted because it technically is the next day.   Forgot to mention, Glenn's friend's costume which I figured out in 20 seconds or less.  Austin was a road scholar (see pics).  Melissa was Atomic Blonde and claimed she was 5'10" which is my exact height but we were never able to confirm.  Shannon was a gypsy (which is a huge category I put people in if I am not sure what they are.  I don't mean this a negative but it allows me to classify). Of course, Glenn was Captain Consent and he would give you a lolly pop with no strings attached.  I think it would be a great comic book if he decides to pursue.

Jen's quote of the night-"Its the thrill of the hunt" and that is when Malibu Jen became known as the candy killer or candy assassin.  I am adding a few pictures so you can get the full picture of adults trick or treating with only masks bought at Walgreens.

So adding to the night, on our way to eat after drinking and dancing, I decided that was a good time to do my pushups and planks (which I was discussing with our uber driver on the way to the diner). We (Glenn) asked the uber driver to to open the trunk and without warning, we (not me as I was co pilot all night) the girls jumped into the actual trunk and all 6 of us (Jammed in the car) went to our next location.  The best part is we did not take no for an answer.  We told the driver we were doing and just got in.   When I got out of the car, I started doing my pushups (on the sidewalk)and that is when the uber driver decided to join me.  Picture the scene of 2 guys doing pushups next to the homeless people with a car blocking traffic on Santa Monica Blvd.  This is when the story gets even better.  Now a guy walking down the street (Random) decides he wants to race me doing pushups.  I don't know why people are always super competitive with me but this is not the first or second time this has happened to me.  Anyway, now I have to do 50 more pushups and a 3 minute plank.  I rose to the challenge and kept up with the guy the whole time.

Now for my grade of a C.  I think I need to explain a little better.  First off, I negotiated the grade up to a C and here is why.  Jen told me to stop drinking at the bar and guess what?  I listened and drank diet coke the rest of the night.  That is PROGRESS.  I am proud of my grade and remember, C's get degrees (MH).

Woke up exhausted next morning but still had to get our hike in before the James Corden Show.  Hiked to the top of Zuma Canyon (Cyn is the abbreviation for canyon here, like street is st and road is rd. but there are so many canyons).    Great hike and back in time for our planned 1.5 hour drive to go 22 miles to Hollywood to JC.    The traffic here is crazy.  One light turns green and the next light 100 feet away turns red.   I thought wayz was lying when it said 4 miles would take us 30 min but it was 100 percent accurate.  I could never live here for that 1 reason.   We got stuck behind some jackass driving a black range rover driving 5 mph and just singing with his passenger.  No wonder there is so much traffic in this town.   We barely made in time for the last call and just got in.  Lisa, Eric's wife, got us preferred seating and really hooked us up.  I don't have any pictures because I followed the rules (If I got us kicked out of there, Jen would have KILLED me).  Anyway, taping was really cool and the guests were Mila Kunis, Jim Parsons (Big Bang Theory) and Ty Dolla $ Sign.    Jen loves celebrities as most of you know.  Sometimes when she is on phone with Abba, she will say something like, "...oh, Kate is really sick today..." and I say, who, is she alright?  and Kate who?   She replies, duh the princess of wales, like she was hanging out with her last night.  This happens a lot with a lot of different celebrities.  It is so cute.

I do hate unnecessary clapping.  We did so much of it at the taping, my hands hurt.  I don't mind clapping when necessary but I hate doing it just to do it.

After show, headed up to see Sascha's soccer practice and meet Lisa and Eric.   A bunch of 12 year olds that pass better then high school kids I have seen.  Of course Jen walked the track with Lisa (She is always trying to beat me in steps-not going to happen).  We went to Eric and Lisa's house and had dinner and hung out.  Their house is in the hills overlooking the city and is really nice.  They are doing some renovations that looked awesome but the best part was their dog, Jewey?  He is so cute and smiles!

Tomorrow we are having a cook out at the Flag with Glenn, Eric, Lisa and one of my old friends who I have not seen for a long time, Chris.  Looking forward to getting together.

No ants so far!  Actually, 1 ant but think it may be random (fingers crossed).
