The best Halloween since I was 12

Woke up to the sound of the ocean waves crashing and a view that you can see in pictures below.  Tuned on the news and saw the impeachment commercial we have heard about on the East coast but seems like it airs on the West Coast.  My plan to purposely lean the RV stabilizers a little off so the cabinets Jen opens will automatically close is paying off.  There are a few on the other side but seems like I picked the right lean.  Oh, remember the cold shower Jessee took?   I fixed the hot water heater (I removed something that looked like a flux capacitor and it mysteriously fired up) .

Our walking plans were not that good and very unorganized.  We were tired and lolly gagging a little.  We thought that maybe we were catching a little bit of Jesse and Alex's slowness (LOL). So, we took a drive looking for the canyon we were going to hike and after a 25 minute drive up the tiny, scary, windy roads looking for the park we ended up going all the way back to beach and it was right there.  Then we ended up walking/hiking almost 8 miles to the top of solstice Canyon (exactly where we previously drove) uphill-awesome hike and, yes, we got the money shot.

Jen owes me six dollars  after a risky bet on my part.  I bet that a trail was a loop on top of the canyon was a loop which it was (hence me winning) but the risk was if it was not, I would have made her hike more then the plan on a hard hike.  Could have been a tough rest of day for me but it panned out.  Plus, if I lost, I was going to have her collect my $6 from Jessee who made a bet with me that the fog in San Fran was fire smoke.  That may be harder then making diamonds from coal (LOL).   Great hike and pictures do not do it justice.

Talked to Glenn who said I am not a good texter.  This should not be a surprise to anyone that knows me (especially my kids who say I am a mean texter).   I am a great texter but I use texting as a mean of communication not as a written letter, feel good praise sandwich.  I always text right back and answer all the questions as needed and in fact I usually text so fast you immediately get your answer.  Sometimes I try to use emojis but usually not.  Anyway, we argue (not really KK) about this often.

Went to store with Malibu Jen to get some baking soda.  Apparently, the camp ground is infested with ants and baking soda surrounding anything that touches the ground keeps them out (every camper has this).  After I squeezed and shuffled to complete task, crawling under Flag, my neighbor asked why I was doing this (his camper was already done)?  I told him it keeps ants out and he said, no, not baking soda, comet.   Well what a pain in my ass but got job done anyway.   This campground has campers with the craziest accessories and covers.  I will try and take some pictures later.

Did you ever notice the redicouls pictures people take as tourists.  I saw a guy coming in on a fire hydrant and taking a picture like it was a piece of art.  What the F do you do with those pictures later?

Ok, now for the funny part.  Went to Santa Monica to meet Glen and friends to, wait for it.....get drunk and go trick or treating to the rich people houses.   I never understood all the parents that drove their kids door to door or put them in a wagon but now I do.  We walked a ton and we were both really tired.  Watching Jen trick or treating with kids, waiting patiently in line was classic.  Glenn was pretending to be our parent telling us to say trick or treat and say thank you.   The people did not know what to do except give us the candy.  The other parents walking their kids did not know what to do or say.  The best part is no one knows us.  I am defiantly doing this again next year (obviously not in my neighborhood).      The people we went to have thousands of people trick or treating and movie set decorations.  They spend thousands of dollars on candy and the police just sit there and monitor.     When they run out of candy, they put a security guy at door or one house just handed out money   We had our pumpkins and ate our candy without getting it checked first.  Some people screwed us with tootsie rolls but most were giving real candy bars.  I reached in and pulled out what i thought was a bag of M and M's and put the hole thing in my mouth only to find out it was skittles (ouch).  Then we sent Glenn up to get us each candy bars because we had already gone up to this house.  This is like a Larry David episode!

Next year we are going to bring unicef boxes also.  The name of the street was Carlisle and I went into an alley between the streets like in Beverly Hills cop  where there is a service alley between the houses.  Went back to bars and finished up dancing.  I was so well behaved that Jen gave me a C (which I though was fair).  It was great to see Glenn and meet his friends.  See if you can figure out what Glenn's costume was from pictures. (Captain Consent-Very appropriate for the area we are trick or treating).

Shout out to Little Alex for doing a shotgun (wow).

Side note:  Batman mask comes in handy once again.
