Independence tour day 1

Graphics package done, jeep hooked up and somewhat working (except for lights).  Planning on leaving at 10 am but pulled out at 1 pm with no test drive.  First stop, Branford exit 56 to get gas and a few fuel filters, oh and of course lunch.  Dogs settled down (Dora is completely at ease).  Now the fun part, CT traffic on I95 and it did not disappoint as usual.  Made it down to Phili at about 7 and got parked and hooked up pretty easily,  We were not sure if they allowed dogs and had no back up plan so had to hide dogs when checking in.  The were really well behaved and quiet (NOT).

Jumped in jeep and headed to meet Kasey and Sarah for dinner.  It was great to see them and we had a great dinner.  Back to RV and got sat tv working and watched the Thomas Crown Affair before bed (could not read the remote or guide to change channels because my contacts were out).  Slept great with my foursome (Jen, Dora, Lupe and myself) on our new mattress.  All and all i would say that day one was a success as our first day.   Tomorrow headed to see Kasey for breakfast and fix her bed and then off to Annapolis.  I am including a bunch of pictures.

Oh, reaction to the American flag driving down the road in a 60' billboard?  First reaction was from a Clinton cop, who said please move this off the road, second was on the Cross Bronx expressway when a truck blew horn at us so either he was stoked or we cut him off (i tend to fade to the right for some reason).  Third reaction was coming down 95 in New Jersey when someone was hanging out the window with a phone taking a picture but i think they were taking a picture of the sunset.  Most drivers were more preoccupied with their phones and did not see the huge flag driving  by them.  Hopefully the reactions will get better as we head south.
