Looking for a CVS

Woke up at the Yogi Bear RV park in Sioux Falls, SD and headed for our hike at the Falls which names the city.  On the way there, Jen broke the steps to the RV and we decided to drop it off at a truck place to have fixed while we were hiking (Great Plan!).  There is no shortage of truck repair, sales, etc places in the city as they are on every corner like Walgreens or cvs in Florida.  That was not the problem.  The problem was finding a CVS so Jen could get her hand cream.  We drove for about 1 hour to find the only CVS in Sioux Falls.  Mission accomplished.  Had a great hike on the the greenway that surrounds the falls and downtown city and headed back to pick up the RV.  This is where it got sticky.  Steps were not fixed and three guys were standing there looking at them pondering how to fix.  I felt like I was at work.  I immediately took over and tasked the techs how to fix which only took about 2 more hours.

I tried to bring some NY humor to the midwest with my FUCK OFF t shirt i got from Julian for Christmas or my birthday.  I don't think they get our humor the same way.

Shout out to Emma who should be a nail technician as my nails are still great looking.   It is as weird to see the reaction of the nails as it is with the flag.

Finally got going and it was really late so the one thing I wanted Jen to see (the black hills at sunset) was a no go.  We have a hard enough time seeing the actual road with our shitty headlights.   I am toying with buying a hand held spotlight for Jen to hold out the window at night while we are driving.    The speed limit is 80 MPH which is REALLY fast, especially in the 60' Rig we are driving and with the wind blowing it is really quite scary.

Jen still reading all the billboards out loud and there are a lot of them, including a ton of nudey bars all aimed at the truckers.  I would think twice about shaking a truckers hand.  Jen wanted to stop at one but I told her we did not have time.

For the first time in 25+ years, Jen was driving BELOW the speed limit.  I would have loved it if she got pulled over and had to discuss with a cop for driving too slow.

Luckily all the truckers have no problem going this fast and passing you at full speed.   It also makes it tough to follow a truck at night (because we cannot see) because we cannot keep up.  Anyway, we got going and started to make calls to get a reservation for the campground.   NOTE-  the campgrounds around the black hills all close on October 1.   We finally found a place in Rapid City, just north of Mt. Rushmore.

Hooked up and had to fix refrigerator before going to dinner.   I was so scared it was not going to work, i had to drink my Heady Topper before it could possibly go bad.  I am not sure what my grade was for the night but assume it was an A+***** FIRST FIGHT-- Jen immediately realized she was wrong and apologized and asked for my forgiveness.  As an acceptance of the apology, we drove around for 20 minutes looking for jelly beans.  The waitress was probably a little uneasy and happy to see us leave.
